Default Oil light!

I just popped to the shop im my aero, its very very cold here today, car was coverd in frost, washers froze, evern drink in the cup holder had frozen solid!

Anway as i started the car i noticed my battery seemed very weak and my oil light flickerd and took a couple of split seconds longer to go out then normal, it normaly goes out instantly, also while it was cold for the 1st time i could hear an ever so faint ticking or tapping sound untill it had warmed up, it was very faint almost like the noises injectors make.

Once warmed it up was fine as normal and when i tried turning it on and off the oil light would go out instantly as it always had done.

Do you think i have anything to worry about or could this be down to the extremly cold weather? The sump was dropped and cleaned around 8k ago and was fine upon inspection.

Have you checked your oil level via dipstick?

If you add in this other thread of yours, the situation sounds quite scary!

I'd have the sump / oil pan off and the pick up and strainer cleaned pronto!
