I have a new (to me) 2004 9-5 Aero (2.3 Liter)
I brought it into a very good oil change place and asked for mobil 1. These guys have always done my oil changes (not a chain place, a mom and pop run by an older gentlemen who takes time on each car...not super busy either). He claimed the manual from Mobil said the car took 6.3 quarts. I saw him looking at the Mobil 1 manual several times, checking the year of the car, the type of engine, etc....Is this right? Doesn't the manual say 4? |

Its 4.5 litres including the oil filter - no idea whats that in "quarts" but I'm guessing its not 6.3!

Thank you sir!
So your garage is completely wrong, they will either underfil it, or fill it to the oil cap |

Changed the oil this morning. Sure enough they put way too much in.
Why do shops get so paranoid about Saabs? These aren't Ferraris. |

The 9-3 2.0T takes about 6 liters so perhaps the oil change place didn't look it up right? Or the Mobil manual is incorrect.
