Default Newbie, need help

Just bought my 2003 9-3 Vector with 70,000 miles and wondering what is the 50k and 100k maintenance? Also what should i check and fix right off the bat?

I also believe that my shocks are blown because the car is very bouncy. Which shocks should I get, i should be ordering them this week as soon as i get good info.

Thanks for all help!

Get Koni FSD, the Koni Yellows are a sport shock designed for a sport suspension (lower) Koni FSD is designed for the stock springs.

Sure just go to auto zone or wherever is closest and ask them for the generic cheapest shocks/struts they have. They will set you straight

the vector/aero gives a stiff ride so you feel every bump in the road ,
my Lin rides smoother than my aero

I would say so, besides the dealer sold it as a vector, its not, that is false advertising, The linear has a lower HP motor. It would be like a dealer advertising you getting a GT mustang but giving you a pony instead.

Check to see if your state has a 3-day cooling off period. Some do, some don't but it can help if it does.

I would take the ad back to the dealer with a KBB.com or NADA.com printout of the values of both versions of cars and give the dealer the opportunity to fix the problem. If they don't, send a letter the your States Attorney General and a copy to the dealer... Ron

You are right, I re read that, and I phrased that incorrectly. Koni Yellows are the best Koni shock to use on lowered springs, but they can be used on stock springs. Thanks for pointing out my error

But that is neither here nor their since he wants to keep it cheap. Although since we have discovered he may be getting some money back maybe he will spring for the Konis now

Quick question somewhat relating to this I guess.
How do you tell if you have the sport chassis vs standard chassis?

never heard of that difference. all the chassis are the same sport might imply the aero suspension?, or sport might be the convertible vs the 4 door?
