Default suspension making rubbing/crunching noise?

My 2003 saab 95 is a great car, but there is one thing that I hear all the time when driving over bumps and uneven surfaces like driving into my driveway from the road.
The sound that I am hearing is like thin plastic rubbing on a ruff surface. It's almost like as if I had a plastic sleeve over the shock or something and it rubs every time it moves up and down.
It could also be described to sound like a muffled bag of chips being crunched.

Any Ideas? I have looked and I can't see anything.

How are your sway bar end links? I am getting a crunching sound over bumps and my links are shot.

It does sound like it is in the rear of the car. Is there a picture of the offending part and location that I can get my hands on?

I'm sorry I thought you meant the noise was from the front of the car, not sure there are any rear links to go bad on these cars.

However, I am also experiencing squeaks from the rear and other weird noises, I just looked and couldn't find anything either.....

Thanks, but I know it is from the rear. I will have a look at it again, but from what I have been told, there is now rear control arm.

May be different. I have a '99 Estate, mine has smaller versions of the drop link bars, and a swap bar. Not sure if the facelift has these as well. The droplinks are about 3-5inches in lenght.
Is the car rolling into corners? I've found the droplinks and swaybar bushes make a metallic rattle when going over bumps. Just replaced my front droplinks and LHS sway bar bush.

It has the drop links but the sound that I am getting isn't metallic at all. The car handles quite nice and doesn't roll into the corners in a bad way, very stable.

Rear trailing arm forward bushings. Lie down next to the car and have someone bounce the rear bumper - if the noise is forward of the rear wheels this is your problem.

Mac is spot on, these are the root of my noises. I started another thread with sources for these bushings.
