Angry saab 2005 9-3 wont start. Multiple mesages on SID

My 2005 9-3 came up with numerous messages on SID like stability control, airbag malfunction etc and now the car will not start. It has 76,000 miles on it and I am not sure if the car battery has been changed. Could this be a problem with the car battery on its last leg or something more serious like CIM failure.
Thanks for your replies.

Any history on this vehicle?
The first thing to do is read.
The second thing, in these cases, is to bring maintenance up to date, starting with the battery/charging system.
Your battery should have a date on it.
Good luck, be successful

No history on vehicle. Just had an oil change done at 75,000 miles.

Have read about potential problems on this site and the web, just looking for info from those who have experienced the same issue.

Will check the date on the battery.

Thanks for your time.

I have replaced two batteries in one year in the Opel Astra Twin Top.
I think is the battery.

Most people experience weird issues when the battery starts to go out, I for one got multiple error messages, and my lights would flicker on and off even without the key in the ignition. Start with the battery, It wont hurt to have a new battery anyway while we are headed into the winter months.

Dear Saab,

Please add a "Change Battery" message to the SID of the 9-3ss instead of leading us to believe our cars are suffering from multiple catastrophic failures generally ruining our day.

Love,
SC
