Degreasing tools

so who knows of a good medium to remove grease (and degreaser)? Ive used toothbrushes and paintbrushes, but after a little bit of use the degreaser starts to weaken the bristles and eventually just melt the brushes. I dont want to use anything metal if i dont have to, so is there any other way? Ive got a lot of block/tranny crap left to clean up and i dont want to change my cleaning tool every 4 minutes because its melted down to a stump...

what are you using for a degreaser that is melting plastic?
Ever try simple green?

Simple green or my favorite is Castrol Super Clean (purple power). I've used the Castrol even to get grease out of a pair of "good" jeans after an emergency repair. If I'm degreasing parts off vehicle, Kerosene works as well to cut the gunk and then I follow up with the before mentioned degreaser to take care of the residue.

Something that I've discovered that will take auto grease and oil off of your hands, tools, cloth - you name it, is baby wipes. Its actually scary how well they take grease off. If your hands are black to the wrists with axle grease it literally take 2 wipes and a little rubbing to get them 'touch your wife clean'.

I have tried a medium..........

But they kept banging on about messages from the spirit world.............

Gotta say it pissed me off a bit, I just wanted a nice clean wrench!

Also I tried the baby wipe thing, yep it works, but with a wife like mine it takes a hell of a lot of explaining when your hands smell of baby oil........
