Anyone planning to be at http://eurosaabmeeting2010.skynetblogs.be/
This is the second European Saab meeting that Etienne Morsa "SaabHuy" has organised in his historic Belgian home town. http://www.eupedia.com/belgium/huy.shtml Robin Morley has a convoy of 10 cars going from the UK Etienne has managed to get the ancient town center closed to all except Saabs .. normally it is pedestrians only. I'll be driving up from Paris and there is an evening meal planned at O'Malley's The meet itself is Sunday with a tour around the countryside in the afternoon. So if you haven't heard about this meet and are in Europe ... you know where to be Cheers David

I've been quietly reliving the most excellent weekend that could only have been made possible with Etienne's incredible generosity and his passion for Saab cars and for those who share his passion.
Yes, as Robin and Les have said it was great to be able to meet friends again and make new friendships .. Yes, the cars are all important but only after the owners and their family and friends. Looks like I'm going to have to make Yeovil next year (that's only a few months away) or else I'll be broadsided !! I had an easy drive home Monday morning, fog in Belgium and sunshine in Frogland! Here are a few pics http://www.flickr.com/photos/55400410@N07/ . First time I've used flickr and they are out of order! ![]() This "Nonant-neuf" Best Car of the Day well deserved its prize. Superbe amongst so many excellent cars. And now it is time for me to thank Etienne Morsa for having made this wonderful weekend in his home town of Huy such a success. I only saw the 80 cars in the Grande Place but in all they were 260 parked throughout the town center. Etienne .. the night at O'Malley's was a masterpiece. When I first went down to the bar for 3 beers "Oh, if you are with Etienne they are free" ... and the same the second time! The food perfect and the wine never ran out. Bravo for having organised that evening that I'm sure will be remembered by all. Jeff (Golfhunter).. I hope we get to see some of the photos your new photographer took. Je suis certain que Tim va jamais oublier ce weekend qu'il a passé avec toi .. I should like to thank Mr. Alexis Housiaux the Bourgmestre (Mayor) of Huy for opening wide his beautiful town's centre for us ... Cheers from a little town 3 hours south-west of Huy! David. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Drooling on the cars would not be appropriate behavior and only contribute to the Ugly American syndrome.
There are journals upon journals written on problems caused by want and desire. I fear I would be less the person and would fall prey to some illegal act. It is almost impossible to find old Iron here especially in the rusty northeast. |

Just seen a 1976 96 V4 For Sale, they want £1895 for it. Peach Yellow with orange interior. It's got 82K on clock. On ebay, while looking at something else.
