Default Is this bad?

Looks like a wee crack, plus some major chisel damage. What would have casued this? It's the state of the engine I'm salvaging. Pistons are seized. Worth a repair?

Valves hitting the piston top. Broken timing chain is the only way I know of that this could happen.

There are four valves per cylinder and the combustion chamber is a pent roof design like the Cosworth DFV F1 V8 engine. Almost all four valve heads are pent roof as hemispherical is too hard to arrange without major cam shaft issues.
