Went out to my car to go to lunch, hit the button on the key fob to deactivate the alarm and nothing happened. Any idea what would cause this? The button itself appears to be working because there is an LED on the key fob which lights up when the button is pushed. The remote will not activate the rear hatch release either. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Sounds like the keyfob lost its programming. The batteries are most likely about dead - probably just enough juice in them to light the LED on the fob...
I can't remember off the top of my head how to do the "recalibration" between the car and the fob... Hopefully you have another fob to turn the alarm off and get into the car! |

no problem getting into the car. I have just been using the key. the alarm does not activate at all. Do you happen to know if there is a fuse I should check?

There is a fuse or a relay attached it - can't remember which one - if it is a fuse, it will be labelled in the fusebox door, or in the box in the engine compartment... |
