I got a 2000 Saab 9-5 Aero; and I am looking to recharge my A/C; I found this image on the forum, and wondering if it is correct:
the reason why I am asking is because some people are talking about port behind the headlight or smgt. PLEASE clear it out, which port do I use, and do I use R134a?? thank you |

The system from 98-02 should be the same remove the passenger side headlight (very easy) and you should see the valve. The tools you need would be in your trunk tool kit.

THOSE PICTURES ARE OF A 2002!!! Ignore them.
The 1999-2001 9-5's have the recharge port under the passenger side front headlight. The 2002-2009's have it where it's pictured above. This is from when I did it on my 2001 9-5, so it would be the same place on your 2000. It looks scary but it really only takes about 10 minutes to get the front off like this. ![]()

Nope. It's the same on both.
