Default Volvo C30

Hi All - What are the overall thoughts about the Volvo C30? Has anyone had one? Is the hatch even remotely useful? Are they reasonably reliable wit hte T5 engine?

Alan

I like the exterior to some extent, but I dislike the interior (especially the seats) from the few I've peered into.

I've become more interested in them...I particularly like the T5 exhaust note. But unfortunately I don't really know much about them, except that I can never find one for sale anywhere.

Cool

Neat cars, fuel efficient, not really a blast to drive but good handling, but does not touch a GTI, or MS3 for handling and the "fun to drive" quotient, nevermind outright performance, the C30 would be left for dead by those cars on a nice twisty road. I'd definitrly choose a MS3 myself, or if you need HIDs, Moonroof, etc, then a GTI would be a good choice over the Volvo. But if you are buying used, Volvo does have the highest rated CPO program out there, and Park Place Volvo is a good dealership, and a convenient location in town, at Inwood and Lemmon. They gave me a S80 to test drive overnight, nice car for sure, but too much of a boat for me, I like a very sporty feel. Volvos also have some of the best interiors and factory sound systems, nice cars overall.

Yea, I've read some about how they aren't into GTI status, or as fun as a MS3. I find those cars to be a bit boy-racer personally. I actually ran by Park Place today, and they have quite a few sharp ones on the lot. Thinking of keeping with the Swedes!
