Cars and Coffee Dallas July 3, 2010

Hello DFW Saabers,

I was thinking we should get some people together and go to cars and coffee this sat. morning. I don't know if you know what it is, but its basically a get together for exotic and luxury cars. i.e. Bugatti, Ferrari, Lambo, Aston Martin, Porsche, etc.. and BMW, Audi, Saab, etc. You can visit the site about it here: http://dallas.carsandcoffee.info/ .


Anyway, it starts early and usually fizzles out by noon or earlier especially with the heat. I was thinking we could meet at Sewell Saab Plano at 7:30am and all drive up there as a group. C&C is at BMW pretty much as Spring Creek/Dallas Tollway. So its not far from Sewell Plano. Besides, its probably been awhile since that dealership has seen many Saabs in its parking lot, lol.

Now this is a car show so you will need to bring your Saab clean and ready for people to look at. If you do not want to park in the show area then you may park in the spectator area.

I hope we can get this going. I think it would be really cool to have a Saab showing.

Yeah,

Sound great. I should be able to make the first 45minutes until I have to get back to my office. Weekend days are usually my longest work days.

Oh and don't forget the 2010 D/FW Toy Run is in less than 6 months !!! Closer to 5 months now, yay !!!

Yea I was bummed I missed the toy run last year. But the year before was pretty fun. With the exception of the wrecked Porsche.

C&C should be fun though. I'll have to remember to bring my camera.

Sounds like a plan ... I have three others that are coming on the side, at least two are Saabs ... one is an old VW VR6, told him he would need to park down the block to avoid lowering the value of the Saabs! LOL

I'd check the website. It has been raining a lot today. We'll see, I was looking forward to it, but my car is dirty now due to all of the rain.

We will have more get togethers soon I'm sure. Just had a nice one a couple of weeks ago.

I am still game, if we get there and it is canceled we'll have to just hit up Starbucks instead for a cup of joe. Forecast on-line says 40% chance of rain so I intend to still make it ...

I already have a showing appointment for 8:50 - 9:10. So I would have to leave the meetup at about 8:30. Not sure it would make sense to go.

Come on Rich, you can still make it for a little while. I spent the 2 hour break between storms washing my car. It looks nice. I also gave it a little wax in the garage.

Lol, I can't wait for that hard work gone to waste tomorrow. Oh well, I guess it had to be done anyway. I will be there regardless too.

It was great to meet/see everyone yesterday! I had a great time! We should try to get up there every month! Hopefully, we can get a better weather turnout next time!

Nice pics, that's 4 more SAABs than we had at the '09 Toy Run !!! It is unusual that I had to meet a client so early on a Saturday, but that's the way the cookie crumbles. I am looking forward to next month's Cars & Coffee.
