Default Slow return clutch pedal?

So here is the situation. I have a clutch pedal that is slow to come back from the down position. The clutch, slave and line are new the only thing left is the master cylinder and the bushings and spring assembly on the pedal itself.
I pulled the pedal off and looked at everything and it seems fine, aside from some wear on the piece that goes in the spring.
I am guessing that it is the master cylinder but it is working fine, like i said it's just slow to return. What do you guys think?

sounds like the master cylinder seals have turned inside out. i've seen this on a few vauxhalls, they get a bit cruddy and catch on the cylinder wall.

I did have to pump it a lot to get it bleed. I was using a suction bleeder but it didn't work well without pumping the pedal.
Anyone ever rebuild one of these? Also who sells rebuild kits?

Could also be the flex hose between the hard line and the bell housing deteriorating internally.

Often it is more sensible to buy a new MC rather than trying to rehab the old one yourself. The cost of a new one isn't likely going to be much more than a kit and your time. If the internals in the MC are scored then you need to machine it so, best bet is a new one.

I replaced the flex hose during the installation of the engine.
The rebuild kit is $24.00 at the saabsite, so it's a bit cheaper.

Can't find a kit for the late models for some reason. Anyone know where I can get one for less than the site I mentioned earlier?
