How does SaabCentral do it?

This is one very good forum. The people here are great. The info is highly beneficial and "just foolin' around at the lounge" is entertaining.
Now, how does SC do this so sucessfully ?
Other good forums have to resort to advertising(which I despise) or contributions( not a bad thing, really, but one must either pay some or fight off guilty feelings).
And if SC can do "it", without begging or obnoxiousness, why can't others?
To improve SC, I propose dues of say $10 annually, and more useful pleasant advertising.
Advertising does not have to be as odious and annoying as most is now.
PBS should do the same.

very simply, the site is owned by www.partsforsaabs.com who also own and run www.partsforvolvos.com and www.partsformercedes-benz.com

they sell a lot of parts.

eeuroparts is a US parts distributor where partsfor<amyriadofvehicles> are UK based so eeuro aren't really direct competitors, they also specialise where the other big parts chains like eurocarparts and german swedish and french do a wide range of vehicles. there are other saab specialists like they who cannot be named here at SC but sound a bit like . other than that there are a few specialist breakers who are scantech distributors and do tuning.
