Want to upgrade my present "static" aerial with a nice automatic one. Does anybody out there know the spec's of the one provided by Saab on cars with more extras than mine?

What do you mean “spec” ?
You could pick up a complete antenna from a junk yard and simply install it… I believe the wires are already there….. |

Specs: which make and model will fit (any idea of quality differences)? Unfortunately, as I know it no 9k's are available via a local junk yard.

I am not sure if there is a “better or worse” factor and I’m sure Saab won’t say that one of their year antenna is better then another. Not having a junk yard near does pose a problem but there are many classified here on Saab Central with people selling parts at least in Europe. Another way of going at it is E-Bay and searching for a whole unit that way.
As far as what years would fit your car I would have to say at least 1993 – would. There are a couple brackets you would need so used would be the best way to go that way you can asked for everything you would need to install it into your car. |
