Hey! I have a 92 saab 9-3 and i am changing the clutch kit and i also want to change the oil in the transmission as well and i want to know what kind of oil does the transmission take. I went to saab they want to charge me $15 a quart. I want to know if i can put an other oil in it. thanks, by the way i bought a pcv upgrade kit and i am having a little bit or hard time with where the hose goes. Do anyone have a picture on how to set it up thanks

The MTF and its source should be in your owners manual. This may need to be edited.
Try Honda or Mercedes MTF, or check out our sponsors.

Castrol SMX-S MTF is a bit thin.
Redline light is too. Most synthetic 75WXX GL4/5 gear oils are good. Don't put mineral GL5 in though! |

There are lots of oil threads on here. If you can get the Saab oil, it's as good as any. |
