What Parts should I look for when going to the junkyard?

I was looking to do a turbo upgrade new T4/T3 hybrids are kind of expensive...
Ive read that the turbos out of ford thunderbirds could be used to upgrade the standard t3 on a Saab, but does anyone know of anyother Turbo cars i should be looking at for ungrade parts for my 900t....also should i be looking for a fpr off of a 900 non turbo?

Yeah, that's a great place to start. By all means grab a FPR off an N/A 900 (3 bar as opposed to the 2.5 on the turbo model.) You're right about the thunderbird thing as well, but I think lots, if not all old turbo mustangs share the same turbo as the T-bird. Also keep you're eyes peeled for any cool old SAAB accessories like guages and whatnot. Good luck and happy hunting!

Investigate also the turbochargers fitted to some Volvos. I can't remember if they're Garrett or Mitsubishi, or whether they'd require modification to the exhaust manifold (square/circle adapter).

Good luck finding performance out of a junkyard. Either it's blown up or it's been raped out of the yard by others.
