Newbie To Saab: Cabin Noise

Hey there, I just purchased a '07 Saab 93 OT with 62K miles. The car is beautiful! A couple of questions about internal noises:

1. When I turn on the left directional (turning signal), there is like a popping noise in addition to the normal directional sound.

2. There is a jingle like noise (bell ping) that occurs when I go over a rough patch in the road. It appears to be coming from dash near the cupholder that pops out.

Any ideas what could be causing these noises. I have previously driven Volvos and this is my first Saab.

For your turn signal, does the popping noise happen when you move the turn signal stalk itself, or does it happen when it is turned on an clicking?
