How come we dont have a rear window wiper?

This thought just occurred to me. Why dont we have a rear window wiper?

A fiat panda has one, as do other budget vehicles, so why dont we on our cars? My Vector when new was around £21,000 and they missed this seemingly standard piece of equipment out.

I don't think sedans usually have one. Hatchbacks have their rear windows closer to the road spray, but sedans' windows are protected by the trunk.

All that machinery in the rear would spoil the lines, anyhow.

because we dont need that... and its not looking good!!!..lol

could be usefull when its snowing a lot.. but the rear defrost is doing the job!! or go faster!!

Rear wipers are rubbish. The springs tend to be cheaper and give out and it'll make more of a mess on the glass wiping that muck around that just leaving it be.

Besides, a Saab should be washed a lot, as they look better clean, and therefor the rear wiper would be moot. LOL.
