Default Floor mat hooks

I just bought a 2006 9-3 Aero convertible. I LOVE IT! I noticed that the hooks to hold the floor mats are missing. Is there a place online where I can buy these or do I need to go to a dealer? Also, would this be a warranty item?

Also, I know that worn buttons on the radio are covered under warranty. Does anyone know if wear to the steering wheel is covered? The area around the buttons on the left side of my steering wheel is worn off.

Car looks real nice. Congrats on the purchase.

Try www.thesaabsite.com. From what I can tell (since I just took a quick gander myself), the posts that hold the mats in place seem to be integrated into the carpet thus obviating the need to replace the whole carpet assembly in the front if you want the posts replaced. I could be totally wrong on this, as I do not have an EPC handy right now. Just a SWAG.

Yeah.. I'm missing my driver's side hooks and it sucks. I have a habit of adjusting the floor mat every time I get in the car now. I've had it actually slide up under the gas pedal and freak me out when I tried to accelerate and not get anything. Strangely enough, my passenger side hooks are intact...

Oh, and clean looking convertible. Nice job!

Thanks! It has under 40,000 miles and 8 months left on the bumper to bumper warranty. Got it for $4,500 below blue book.

Totally off topic, but Hendrick is the only Saab dealer in town. If you have any warranty stuff you need done...STAY ON THEM. We've had some issues with them in the past, with saying they fixed a warranty issue, but they didn't, and then the warranty ran out, and I had to send them "stern" emails from Iraq to get them to fix the stuff they said they had fixed but then later admitted they hadn't....once the warranty runs out, go to Patterson Performance. Better service and the guy who runs it knows Saabs.

jrmckins;

Second time that I removed driver's side floormat,the inboard post came with it. It had broken off. Dealer replaced under warranty.

The post fitting is not integral with carpet so can be replaced by itself.Tech had bit of trouble getting plastic trim out of way in order to lift carpet eneough to snap new post into place. Took all of 15 minutes.

Good to know that they aren't integral. Hugh, do these things break often/easily? I've had 3 Saabs, all used them, and never broken one (knocking on wood), but if I ever do, I want to be ready to go resource a new one after the cursing stops.

Great! I'll try the warranty route. I would like a source for these if there is one. I guess they can't be too expensive.

jrm and tkr;

They are only available via dealer according to my dealer.

I have no idea what failure rate history is but dealer said mine was first one they had replaced in 2 years. These things are plastic so I suspect that in cold weather,you have to be very careful to lift mat straight up to avoid any sidewise stress on post.

It sounds like that they are only available to a dealer, or to anyone who has access to the EPC:

Part Number 92 152 123
Description CARPET RETAINER
Saab Suggested List $4.10
Quantity package? 4
Part Code (D = discontinued)
Superseded use this new number >click link
Core Charge $ 0.00

Ask you dealer to order you a few, or get them from Nick at genuinesaab.com at a discount... Ron

Or buy them from:

http://www.thesaabsite.com/shop/sear...1=Start+Search

Must be ordered in quantities of four. They list them at $3.90 + Shipping and tax since the business is HQ'd in NC just up the road from you. But every time I order from them, the stuff arrives in 1-2 days, and I am about 30 miles south of the OP.
