I've been contemplating replacing the door speakers for quite some time & think I've got everything worked out. The one thing that I'm having trouble finding out is whether or not we need reduced clearance/slim speakers in the doors. I know a ton of you guys have replaced the door speakers, so I ask: Slim or standard? Also, I know a lot have gone with the BA SA35's in the dash, but have you tried the S65's in the doors? (I should mention that I run an aftermarket amp to the door speakers, so impedance isn't an issue.) I'd like to stay with the same branding throughout the car & BA has a pretty good track record.
Thanks for the help! |

Take a look at this Door Speakers thread for mounting depth information to ensure window clearance.

3" or less. Any more and you're hitting the window. You could buy something slightly larger if you can fab some rings.
