hey guys i seem to be finding little on the internet about gps tracking because there is so much out there. recently a firend of my brothers, civic which had atleast a good 20 to 30k put into it was stolen via flat bed in 15 mins in a parking lot and me and him have been concerned about people stealing our cars mainly his. does anyone know of any product that i can discretely hide in maybe the roof liner and have constant tracking abilities? and do they require subscription fees. i know of lowjack but i believe its like 9 bucks a month and i don't think thats personally worth it. thanks for any answers
edit: sorry im new to the whole idea of gps tracking |

9 bucks a month is too much to track your 30k Civic? Compared to spending a couple hundred bucks to jury rig some kind of gps/cell phone arrangement it sounds cheap to me.

personally i don't think i'd trust a "free" gps car tracking device, maybe it's just me but spending 9 bucks a month to have constant watch over my car would put my mind at ease

i looked into lojack a little i cant get a price off their website but from what i read its like 500 dollars for the best, i cant tell if theres a subscription fee but i think you need a check up about 70 buck every 2 year can anyone prove that?
