I am going to put a hitch on my 2008 95 Combi. I ordered a wire harness to hook up to the trailer. I was told it was a plug and play, but this one has a 6 prong butt female, which I assume will convert to a 4 prong to the trailer, but the other end has a bunch of dead end wires and a bunch of female plugs that I am supposed to splice in.
What the hell have I gotten myself into? I also don't see a module and I am already out 140.00.. |

On <=2005 models, there is pre-wiring to the rear of the SportCombi with a connector in the spare tire area. I didn't have this pre-wiring in my 2006 so I assume they got rid of it for 2006 and up.
I think I read somewhere you'll need to install wiring from the engine compartment all the way to the back of the car. For <=2005 models, all you have to do is plug in this module. Is that what you have?

I think they sent me a hard wire set up for a phone. The parts guy just saw "wire harness" and that was good enough for him, I just ordered the part you are showing from Saabnet. I hope that is the one.
Anyone else have any input I would appreciate it. I thought the wire harness I wanted was just a plug and play-what am I missing and why the hell is this so hard? |
