I posted this in the 99 forum but thinking about it this is probably a better forum for advice.
Does anyone have any experience of installing an APC system into a non-APC car. I have a 99T which is being rebuilt but will probably not have the original turbo refitted. Given the effectiveness of the APC system on my 9000 ( I know it's Trionic but the APC part of the system functions more or less the same ) I was wondering if it would be possible to install a system from an early, or indeed any, APC equipped 900. I realise that I would need to fit a knock sensor into the block but are there any other considerations? The engine will be developing somewhere between 200 & 220 bhp & I feel, perhaps wrongly, that an APC system would go along way to help preventing melting the tops out of the pistons. |

well you'd need to have an ecu or carb mapped to the needs next the apc solenoid, the the apc itself, the vacuum canister etc. but i don't reallly see why not, it has been done on volvo's so why not on one of saab's own
