Window wont stay closed

on my 06 9-3 aero the right front window wont stay closed. It will go all the way up and stay for a second or two then go down about 1/4 of the way and stay there.

Ive ran my finger on the window and the seal and I cant find anything blocking the window. Any other suggestions?

rest the Pinch Protection....

Pinch Protection, around Page 100 or 130 in your manual depending on the edition ....

To reset Pinch Protection, as explained in the Manual: With the Ignition on, Raise and lower the affected window(s) twice holding the switch in the appropriate direction, on the second closing hold the switch up until you hear the ding/chime.

IF you cant get it to reset, holding the window lock button while putting the window up will bypass the pinch protection.

you need to reset the windows then it will be ok

i have that same problem. but i found out a month ago on how to fix it.
but is there a certain reason why this happens?

I pulled the battery to reset the pinch when it happened to me.

What? No way! If you pull the battery, you definitely have to re-set Pinch Protection on all the Windows. That uncalibrates it, it does not re-set it.

Well I'll go back and say that it was co=incendental then. My battery died and I replaced the battery wich fixed my problem of the window not going up without rolling back down. Recalibrated and express up and down worked fine.

I thought I tried to recalibrate before the battery had died and I could never get the chime or it fixed.
