Cool nearing 100k miles

my 2001 y reg 9-5 aero est is nearing 100k and runs spot,what needs doing/changing to keep her running sweet

Replace the fuel pump. Mine died without any warning at 120K, while returning from vacation 4 hours from home. MUCH less expensive to replaced it yourself.

depending when you last changed the plugs, you may want to swap new ones in. Look at all your vacuum connections, air filter, various hoses, etc. and replace any of these if they look like they need it.

May also want to drop/clean the pan and cam cover if you havent done this recently!

other than that 100k isnt the biggest interval. 90k and 120k i believe have many other things that may require attention.

Check rear shocks, rear suspension bushings, and front sway bar links.

Definitely replace the fuel pump motor, (mine died at 122K), the rest really depends on what you've already done...

Mine was still going strong when I sold the car at 184k miles.

EDIT: Oh darn, I thought you had the V6 because of your name. Aero's are good too though.

our fuel pump died at 101k. just stopped running on the interstate. thank goodness for AAA.

Two fuel pumps within weeks of each other one per 9-5 we have, both a couple thousand off of 100 K mark.
