Last I heard the C/F dash is very difficult to find. No dealers have them and they can't get them either.

I've got the wood kit for all the vents, handles, radio etc and I hear its a lot easier to find than the cf one and a lot cheaper, though still not cheap. It might be good looking in to that!

The Carbon Fiber dash was $1000, I got one of the last 2 in the USA
The Carbon Fiber Shifter was a different story.... None were left in the USA, so i went to E*kParts for that, and it ran me about 250 Shipped

Cost me about 250 from the dealer to install both of these.

Good luck in finding one... Im still trying to hunt down the Carbon Fiber Steering wheel!?!?!?! Anyone see any of those around?

Well when you look at it that way.... It was really 1500 for everything...
And yup, it was a bit much, but you live and learn!

Would i do it again, NO!!!

I would rather have spent money on something else!

But i do like to keep my car for a while; therefore if its gonna be around for a while i need it up to my standards!

Plus, i didnt really like the aluminum dash with the gray.... I want to buy a black dash top for my car... I think that was done in 2004.... It might make the CF stand out more. Right now it kinda just blends in

You could just GET a 2004 or 2005 Aero. Then you'd have the black dash and kickass bumpers. With all the money you're spending trying to make your '03 an '04... it wouldn't cost much just to get a legit '04.

PS... I would be happy to take that miserable looking carbon fiber thing off your hands. Just sayin'.

PSS... Don't even think about trying to replace the gray in your car with the black. By removing and replacing the whole dash you open a big giant disgusting can of worms of creaks and rattles.

If you want to try one of those things go for it, but they scare me. They just use adhesive to stick onto your current dash and I'm sure after a few years of sitting through hot summers and cold winters it'll start to peel off and leave nasty glue residue. If you do go that route, please don't cover the vents and stereo face. That's too over-the-top in my opinion.

I bought my 01 aero with them stuck on already and they don't look too bad. The only place I noticed peeling was on the rear door handles where a corner was peeling a little. Idk how long its been there but a lot of the wood ones are real wood. Mercedes uses them a lot says my buddy who works there.

I have seen the CF dash in person and wasn't very impressed by it. It was a bit too shiny for my taste and looked rather cheap. There is a thread on the 9-3 boards where someone used carbon fiber wrap. I think that would look quite nice on the 9-5 dash as well.

I also like the all black dash they have in Europe. Perhaps a good paint shop would be able to match the black trim and paint the dash panel.

I have the dash, shifter trim, and auto shifter. I had to have the dash warrantied once, because they do start to seperate after time. Hopefully it won't be an issue again. I actually bought used wood ones when my 04 was totalled so I could move the CF to my newer 05. The wrap won't work on the 9-5 dash due to the integrated vents.
