So I've read before that 9-5 wheels dont fit on a 9-3ss because of the offset. But then I see this picture today in the classifieds, and am now slightly confused.
![]() Can anyone clear the air here? |

They fit. I had the RKIIs from a 9-5 Aero on my last 9-3 (and probably will put a set on this 9-3 as well if the TPM sensors fit).

9-5 wheels physically fit but some advice against it because of the offset difference (49 mm 9-5, 41 mm 9-3SS) but some ignore it. I would consider wheels with a 38 mm to 42 mm offset first and only stray beyond that if no wheels exists. Going lower is better than higher for offset, for example 35 mm rather than 47 mm

The higher offset of the 9-5 wheels will result in a strange look because they will sit too far inside the wheelwell.
You can easyly compensate this by adding 20mm wheelspacers. The standard 17" wheels of the 9-3 for my opinion are allready too far inside the wheelwell and have lots of clearance. So 9-5 wheels with 20mm spacers results in an offset of 29, which is perfect and not too ricey. |

I thought the 9-5 wheels had an offset of 35. At least I think that's what the RKIIs have. I didn't use spacers and they looked totally fine.

ive always heard if you replace the stock springs with after market sport ones you had to replace the OEM struts as well with after market, does it ride/handle badly? this may be a great cheap(er) way to lower it
