Anyone have any ideas how to remove the metal beading an rubber insert on the front een surround(carefully and seal the top edge of the glass which is leaking?

Amal,

do you mean the keystrip in the middle of the rubber, or do you want to replace the whole seal? Is the keystrip black or 'chrome'?

Drew,

Just the metal strip and rubber insert. Actually I'd like to suirt some silicopne sealer in the gap, but would like to make sure it seals properly, hence removal of the trim & seal.

Amal,

Remove the metal joiner strips by peeling back the rubber and 'flicking' them out with a small screwdriver. Don't lever on them too much, as they are really easy to bend/crease. Then, ease the keystrip sections out of the rubber. Might be a good idea to clean the rubber recess out too.

To replace, put the metal corner/joiner pieces in first, and just use a small screwdriver to peel back the rubber (start at the corners, and slide the strip under the edge of the metal trim pieces) while feeding in the keystrip.

I have the standard pebble dashed screen of highish mileage 900's, where can I get a reasonably priced replacement? Anyone? Anyone?
