Default Disk and pads needed, recomendations

I have searched for an old thread that listed peoples choices but cant seem to find it.
I have been running mintex exstream with zimmerman disks!
I not overly impressed with them they seem to to mirror easly and have lasted me less than 10,000 miles all be it of my special driving style.

seem to remember people recomending ebs red stuff pads, which would be the best disk's to match these.

Default Discs + Pads

I will be replacing my front discs + pads on my Aero soon and rather going with the Viggen discs/pads upgrade i will be replacing them with ATE preformance discs combined with EBC red/green stuff pads which are all available from Euro Car Parts for £165 for the lot which i think is pretty reasonable.

Well, I personally went for the Brembo disks along with Ferodo pads (frond+back). The improved performance is quite noticeable and even in hard braking I cannot see any fading....

Well got some EBC Red stuff and drilled and grooved EBC Disks.
Not bedded in yet but already better.

I would say that the mintex exstream pads and zimmerman disks combo I had before were not good.
The disks even have cracks along all the holes and they didnt last even 10,000 miles.
They also would loose braking ability mirroring I think you call it.
And loads of dust lots and lots......

so I guess im saying dont buy, hope I have better luck with the new ones.

I upgraded to ATE rotors and EBC Redstuffs January of last year. Stopping power and fade resistance were awesome with this set up; but the front redstuffs were burned up in less than 12 months. Great pad but short life span...

I switched to Hawk HPS pads up front back in February when I switched them out; but I honestly do not even feel safe with my stopping power anymore compared to the redstuffs. I am quite sure the Hawks work fine; but compared to the way my car used to stop it feels like I have no brakes now...

I would suggest going to EBC Yellowstuffs; they are supposed to work better than the Redstuffs, but last far longer and resist heat fade even more... Many may say they are "overkill" for a daily driver, but I say why not upgrade your most important safety equipment to the best you can afford...?

Good luck!
