Just as the title says. 94 convertable. Unless pushing with absolutely centered pressure on the pedal, it will bind and you cannot push it at all any further. It's not driveable in the current situation, it's not safe.
The pivot grommets/bushings were just replaced, and a spare master cylinder was swapped in. the problem persists. The car has 200k+ miles on it FWIW, and a new clutch with less than 10k miles. Unless anyone can suggest anything, I think the next step is trying yet another new slave cylinder. I've been searching for hours online with no luck. thanks guys |

The slave reacts to hydraulic pressure through a line; I can't see how it could be affected by the way you press the pedal.

I agree that it doesn't make any sense, but the whole situation makes no sense. I'm going down right now to look again. I figured it could be causing the shaft of the slave that connects to the pedal to be binding inside
I'll post up if I have success. Any other ideas welcome |
