Hello to all,
I have just bought a 1993 9000CSe 2.3 (non turbo), I have driven 1500 miles back from Florida to Texas without a glitch. Then on one fateful day, the engine just stopped when I slowed down to make a U-turn. the check engine light came on. Pulled onto the side of the road, luckily there was on one following me. Sat around debating whether I should call the AAA or not. Then after about 10 minutes I tried starting it. Starts fine, and runs fine. However , the engine has started to stop running more often. Now the symtom goes: engine stops, wait about 10 minutes, start, runs for about 2-3 minutes, the stops again. Repeat about 3 times and the car will rin fine until the next day. then we do the start stop thing again. The thing is it doesn't splutter or anything, it just stops. Could anyone please offer a hypothesis about this. I'm reluctant to go to the dealer since it's 150 miles away. thanks BTW all the fuses are fine, except the power lokc/interior light which blows almost immediately. |

Hi Darschu
Sounds like anti-theft module. It is connected with fuel pump relay and shares fuse No 16 together with central locking and courtesy lights. duesenberg |

Thanks duesenberg
Guess I'll have to take it to the dealer after all. Anti-Theft and electronic stuff's somewhat out of my league. |
