Default 2003 9-3 wont start

I have a 2003 9-3 Arc. Went for a drive when I attempted to come home the car does not start now. I have fuel pressure, it does not turn over. I get a slight click when I turn the key. I was able to push jump start the car and get home. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Sounds very much like your battery has died, this is a common issue with the original batteries on these cars, there are multiple threads on this highlighting the variuos syptoms, many of which don't obviously point to a dead battery, but 9 times out of 10 it is the cause.
My 9-3 won't start, but battery voltage is fine

I JUST had my battery die on my 2003 9-3 Arc last Thursday. Same symptoms: click click, won't turn over... had the battery changed (dealer charged me $208 installed) and all is well. In hindsight I could have gotten the battery changed cheaper elsewhere, but I was getting my suspension looked at 8 days short of my warranty ending and it was convenient.

Often time is money ... but yes you can get a better price on the battery elsewhere, and installation is usually DIY. Some people don't like playing around with batteries though and then of course there are disposal concerns.

Thanks to the replies. I spent some time going over the issues and troubleshooting it.

1.) Battery ( as defined by most might need to be replaced ) not so the battery brand new this past winter but pulled it and had it test be on the safe side. Came back positive.
2.) Under the clutch pedal there is a clutch sensor. I pulled the switch and jumperd the connection to see if the sensor was bad. No luck still nothing.
3.) To the starter. Once I crawled under the car it was plain to see the cable from the wiring harness to the starter was corroded off. Causing no connection to the starter.
The cable is a multi powered cable that feeds more than the starter and intermeshed with-in a series of other cables to complete the harness. I am going to attempt to splice back the wires and create a new connection. The full harness cost is 145.00 then the full day of pulling the old one out and installing the new one.

I will post a picture of the issue and my attempt to fix the problem.

I changed the original battery on my 2003 9-3 Arc automatic for the first time, today. I got the group 48 battery from the dealer for about $140 and have to return my old battery tomorrow. You need a socket wrench with an extension long enought to unbolt the battery from the case. There's a bolt and clip at the bottom of the battery case at the front. I can't remember the size of the bolt, but the bolts holding the contacts to the posts are 10 mm.

The retailer who sold you the new battery doesn't take the old one back? They do here.

Yes, they do. I'll drop my old battery off at the dealership tomorrow. Incidentally, the dealer charged me $124.95 for the new one.
