Hey guys. When I bought my C900 the guy gave me a full engine, block, head, the whole thing. What kind of gains would I get boreing out the block and possibly porting the head. Has anyone done this? Would I get worthwhile gains?

It's a 93 900 turbo vert.

with a turbo there is not as much of a need to build a motor....you can easily make the motor a transmission eater with some injectors and an apc tweek.
If you did want to build a motor I would suggest building a transmission too. K |

Yea, I'm so afraid to tune these engines just due to the transmision. It really sucks, I don't want to be like breakin5speeds and swap out a tranny every other day. Whats a good bhp before i have to worry about killing a tranny in good condition?

in my 90 900t I ran 19psi boost with 27# injectors, 3.0 bar regulator, and timing tab on distributor bent.
I did not beat it in 3rd, as previous cars failed when beating 3rd. I did achieve 6sec 60-90 in 5th gear on a 90 c900T..... my 04 9-5 arc with 278hp tuning barely did the same time in 3rd gear. K |

really you are not gonna drag race a c900 with good results to the tranny....if you keep it as a fun car, keep the fun to higher gears you are ok...
I did beat 2nd, I think what saves 2nd on the tranny is the lack of hookup, if the tires hooked in 2nd the 19psi would kill 2nd but because the power cant be tamed by the tires the tires break before the tranny. K |
