HID upgrader for 9-3 SE 2000

I was wondering what I should do for HID upgrade in my 9-3. I know I will have to lose high beam, but when I plugged in all the wires except the one for the high beam, my SID said, headlight failure. Is there anyway I can get away with this?

i wouldn't do an HID upgrade until someone makes clear lenses for a 9-3/900

i believe there is clear corners for 9-3/900? i am pretty sure i saw one sold over interent somewhere.
