So I'm looking into getting a Rear anti-roll bar, but wasn't sure of the size?
I just had my Bilstein sports+Eibach springs installed ... would you guys suggest a 22mm or do you think a 19mm will do the job?

22mm will be the most balanced and neutral in terms of under and over steer. The 19mm will be sufficient as well, but understeers slightly more.

yeah just don't get the 25mm bar, its too big for a lowered suspension and can create some dangerous oversteer conditions.

Go with the 22, like christian said, its the perfect balance.

I have a 22mm ARB, and it's pretty good.
I also have a theory: I think that two saabs (ng900's and og9-3's, at least) sometimes can get the same neutrality with different rear ARB's. The reason is that the rear axles on these cars can have vastly different cambers from one car to the next. Camber can have a big effect on rear traction, just like an ARB can. Less rear camber = more oversteer/less understeer, depending on the situation. Abbott's website has a short discussion of the rear 'axles' of these cars and the "tolerances" that they have. Camber spacers coming from GS today! Probably wont go in till next week though as there's lots of other stuff going in as well. Disclaimer: You should still get the 22mm ARB for a street car. The ramblings above are just to make the discussion a bit more interesting |

22mm is the short answer
Longer version here: http://www.trolltuner.com/archives/2006/12/#000027 Extra long version 866.499.1068 About the difference between 9-3 and 900 it is mostly in the spring/damper rates of the base car. The front suspension is lots stiffer on the NG900. This is what mostly influences the balance.

On the camber issue, I was speaking in terms of differences from car to car, not really comparing ng900 to og9-3. Have not driven an ng900 but it is the same rear suspension design. Also in terms of hoping my car will be more neutral with the camber adjusted to be less negative in the back. I'm going from -1.9L/-2.4R to ~-1.35L/~-1.3R with your kit when it arrives. At any rate, thanks for a good read! |

I have the 22mm and the Koni package and it's perfect. If it was much tighter than it is it would probably be a little scary, haha.

I have the 25 on a koni kit for my 03 SE cv. It works well though I never push it to the limit. I actually ordered the 22, but I guess GS was out, and not making new ones at the time, so I got a 25 in the mail.
