Got the filter in the mail yesterday, here is a link to the tear down. Tomorrow i will install it.Taking out the bottom of the air intake was wierd. It popped, but I may have done it wrong. i did not unscrew any of the bolts, after removing the top and filter itself. It sort of just snapped out. my initial reaction so far is..."$200 bucks for THIS"? But life is too short to look back at "should I or shouldn't I have," But I will shop around more in the future for my upgrades.

I think you should be able to "fab" one up easy for the T7. The MAF has nice wide flanges on both sides to accept your shaped pipe.and there is a TON of room down there now that i have the box out. I have some PVC pipe...I may "shape" something out of it tomorrow as a template. The cone goes on one side of the MAF...I think the pipe would be very similar to your 900 pipe, just a more mellow bend and a bit shorter.

yea i was thinking the same thing. Two questions tho...what is the diameter of the MAF, and does it have a long enough sensor cord, to be placed anywhere in the proximity of the stock air box?

Also, what is the diameter of the cone?

The cord is plenty long enough, I will measure the parts for you in the morning. Problem might be in that roller and belt getting a smooth enough bend.

Only problem I had was i dropped a bolt . I will try and find it, otherwise I am hoping it drops out to the ground while driving?

How wide was the intake pipe to the turbo, and also how wide (diameter) was the MAF?

woops...sorry, the OD of the MAF was 3.25 inches. Forgot to measure the turbo side....will get that for you today. I got side tracked when i dropped the bolt ops: Things i like abou the coe filter 1. looks awesome 2. Seems to have reduced the turbo lag, Things I don'r like 1. COST!! 2. No instructions 3. No place on the heat shield to re-attach a couple of lines that are now "floating", I will mount a bracket for them today. Things I'm not sure about yet. The sound....I like it and I don't like it. It would not describe it as any kind of "tone"...its nice to hear the turbo, but it would be better if it didn't sound like a n air leak. its a higher pitched "woosh" than i was expecting. but over all i am pretty happy. I'm sure Nick could write a book about the virtues of this upgrade, but I can't imagine why yours won't be just as nice or better for half the cost. There are several mounting tabs to fashion some kind of bracket to. but you need to get your hands on one to do it right.
