New 2009 Saab 9-3s and 9-5s with $10K discount

I was browsing around and found these 2009 Factory Executive Cars with only 0 - 100 miles. Holy crap! What's the deal with these? These are just 3 examples and there a few more.

In Australia the current special is 25% (thats right!) off the recommended retail on all Saabs except the AWD 9-3

Last month the Portland, OR dealer was advertising 9-3's (including TurboX's) at 40% off MSRP. That made a new TurboX at around $27-28k depending on options; unfortunately all their remaining inventory were automatics. I was just talking to my local dealer yesterday and he said based on incentives, that didn't surprise him. Not sure if they have carried it out this month.

In Mass I received a voucher in the mail from the dealership I bought my Saab, for 50% off a 9-7x.

Now, I'm not a fan of the new front and rear facelift, but these prices might motivate me if I needed a car.

Between the economy, the auto industry problems and GM problems, there are some great deals out there.

Also, if they were listing this car for $42k a few years ago and can now sell them for this - what is their cost - $25k? 20k?

Hell at the rate they're losing value I'll be able to swing an 09 Aero within a year or two.

I think $35k is a perfect price for that car new, and I think if Saab had the good sense to ditch the incentives and MSRP it at that level then they might have a minor hit on their hands.

Well, ya gotta get your new one lined up first. And Michigan is not far away from Winnipeg. And I've imported cars before so that's no biggie either.

Actually, I am thinking of maybe downsizing (older sizing?). I just bought a house 2 miles from my work so I hardly will be doing much driving at all. Maybe I'll get a vert for summer. I have to try out all Saabs at least once, right?
