Default I'll show you my toaster, if you show me yours!

Just bought.
Here she is a vintage circa 1968 "Automatic Beyond Belief" Sunbeam toaster. We use it for every day toasting.
Place the bread in the slot and it lowers its self in.
There's even an organization revolving around this series of toasters.

There was even an Australian model.

So that's where I've been going wrong. I thought it must be broken.

It goes on the AGA instead of a fire. Works pretty well.

How sad is this? I'm actually complying.

One of my 40th birthday presents. So it's done 14 years with only one element ever replaced. Dualit 4 slot in stainless steel.

Thanks. Iconic design and a bomb proof toaster all in one. 1946 design barely tweeked since. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Also have some of these. And yes we do have the other half , well burning for 6 or 7 months of the year.

Some old Oster unit. I actually rarely toast my bread:

And a HB toaster oven:

For light-duty cooking not on the stove, I actually use my Cuisinart Griddler (love that name ) often for paninis, fried eggs, pancakes etc.

Come on! No one has something along the lines of the Toast Quick series of conveyor toaters by Hatco??

This bad boy does 1200 slices per hour. Has state-of-the-art electronic controls. Colorguard Sensing System. Power save mode with indicator light. Includes collector pan, feed ramp, crumb tray and 6ft. power cord. Conveyor may be moved to most convenient location, front or back. Plus it's UL Listed!

Let me know if anyone wants one... I could probably get it for you for about a grand... plus shipping.
