I have a JSP stage4 tune on a 2000 9-3se auto vert. I've adjusted the stock wastegate where I have approx. 7-9lb of boost at 3000rpm. There are 3 threads left showing on the WG. I'm boosting to a solid 22lbs at wot. The question is can I shorten the WG more to up the boost to 10-11 at 3000rpm or do I need a new Forge Wastegate. I know that shortening it too much isn't good for the turbo. I don't have any fuel cuts yet. How far can shorten it before it will hurt the turbo? If I do get a fuel cut at what rpm will it show up? Wot?
Thanks |
