Hi. Try some fishing line and gently pull away from the body, credit card and screw driver, pry it away using card to protect paint. Jim

You have to replace the whole trunk lid.
Ok, I don't know, but do I know SAAB dealers often give free emblems as a courtesy. I've heard here of some even installing the badge for you. The threads here about free emblems have been about the hood emblem, but I'd think they'd want the rear badge looking good too. You might contact the local dealer and see if you can at least get a free emblem from them. Congratulations on the new SAAB. |

Just use 3-D decals replacements, they are very much cheaper, looks good and last longer.
If you use the 3-D decals replacement, you do not have to remove the base just clean up the existing emblem a bit a paste the decal. No one would see the difference and they are UV protected. Seacrh the forum on the 3-D decals. |

I use one of the wheel caps for my front badge because i'm sick of having to replace the factory one all the time. You have to push a small screwdriver into the cap and then follow behind it with a narrow paint scraper.
As for the trunk you should be able to remove the carpeting by taking out the push pins. Then you can push a screwdriver against the guide pin for the emblem. This is the process i used for the front when the dental floss method didn't work. |
