Default Remote/central locking issue

I recently changed the batteries in both remote keys with the proper CR2032 types and they both worked fine. Last night, all of a sudden both remotes would not unlock the car. No parking lights flash, no sounds, nothing.

I used the traditional key to open the car which of course set the alarm off and the car was started normally.

The central locking system seems to work fine, I can lock and unlock all doors with the switches on the drivers and passenger doors. As well the trunk lid release works properly with the switch on the drivers door.

And because both remotes are not working, I can assume it is a car issue and not a remote issue.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the system. I can't seem to see in the fuse charts, that any fuses have anything to do with the remote system.

I just bought the car last month and do not have the SAAB WIS DVD yet to help me troubleshoot the system.

And ideas???

as no answers,

- I will tell you that:
My son got this problem with the Opel Astra twin top. it was the antenna poor contact terminal.
- the astra has antenna, (is only a wire not the root anntena), from BCM terminal wire to halfway lateral windscreen frame.
-if the antenna in in short (core&shield ground) no function.

I don't know how is in Saab. it could be the same problem or defective batteries, programmer keys......

regards and good luck

there is a wiring diagram in the HAYNES MANUAL for the sc/ss... think you can find them on parts for saabs.
but i had the same problem with an 05 ss. i changed the batteries in both keys an had the same problem... i just used the other key and the problem resolved. i think it arrise's if you press the button too many times. it happened to a 05 vauxhall astra (saturn astra in canada?) i had too but that locked out the fuel tank[B][U][I] too.

Thank you N2STY, I just went out to try the battery disconnect, only for about 30 seconds, and WOW, now my remote works fine.

Thank you everyone for viewing. Hope this helps someone else.

Cheers
