Default So, I'm changining the H7 bulbs...

...and cussing up a storm at whoever designed the dam things. The driver side was okay, the passenger side was a b****... had to remove the airbox cover to get my hand in there. When I was inserting and twisting the light socket, one of the three mounting tabs snapped off. I finally got the light socket back in with the new bulb, albeit with only two tabs holding it in. The light is slightly crooked due to one missing tab but it seems to aim straight. Anyone else had this happen and if so, any issues? Should I replace the light socket in order to have three locking tabs? Don't want any vibration of the H7 bulb to occur or have the whole light socket pop out.

I'd fix it. dont wannt be driving down a dark road and have your light fall out of the housing! lol

try goldwingsaab.com to a used one, call the dealer to price a new one. might not be TOO expensive.

I had to take the bloody bumper off to get to the bulbs.. quite the idiotic design IMO.

most of the modern cars have theses problems.
- the engine compartment is too small and big engines.

up from two to three bloody fingers trying to get the H7 in. It stays in place but it is not correctly inserted. Every now and then I open the hood and try and get it right. Will post if I discover the Secret of the Saab tabs.
