Hi, I have a 2003 Aero with a BSR remap which has started slipping its clutch, its not too bad at the moment but its not going to get any better so its time for a new clutch, I have changed clutches before but not on the 9-3 SS.
Can anyone give me some tips, perhaps so I can avoid any pitfalls, I will take some photos as I do it and post it perhaps as a sticky as more of these cars are having clutch problems due to age, mileage and remaps overwhelming the clutch ! Might go for the Spec clutch, from what I save on the labour I can pay the extra to the cost of the kit. Wish I had bought that Impreza, there is loads of good aftermarket stuff and expertise, The 9-3 is a bit under represented ! |

Thanks for that.
I took the BSR map off the car and there is now no clutch slip, I was expecting that but was also expecting it to feel slow, it doent feel as quick but by no means slow, might leave it like that for now. I wouldnt mind doing the clutch as long as I have the time and some idea of the procedure, looks like the subframe needs to come out. |
