Default CD changer on 2000 9-5

Hi, this is my first post. Quick question about installing a cd changer in my 2000 9-5. Came across this add on ebay:

YOU ARE BIDDING ON A SAAB 6 DISC CHANGER. THIS WAS NOT REMOVED FROM A 99 9.5 SAAB PROPERLY. THE RADIO WAS NOT DIVORCED. THE SAAB PART NUMBER IS 5042585. THE 6 DISC MAGAZINE IS MISSING. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO HAVE THIS DIVORCED WITHOUT THE CAR IT WAS REMOVED FROM. THIS CHANGER IS BEING SOLD AS IS. SHIPPING IS A FLAT FEE OF $9.50 FOR 48 STATES. THANKS FOR BIDDING.

Is there any way to divorce the changer without the radio or will this just be a hunk of junk? Thanks

Mike

Welcome to Saacentral!

I'm afraid it'll only make a nice high tech door stop!

Of course it will work. You must have Tech II to marry it with your car.

Unless the unit has been properly divorced from it original car, you will not be able to marry it to the next vehicle.
