Default New Owner

Just came home with my new 2008 black/black 9-3 2.0t 6mt with cold weather and wood grain inserts.

Was exactly what I wanted.. and with the incentives was an incredible price.

Traded in my 01 325i which was ready to be put to pasture.

Looking forward to reading the forums and seeing some fun things to do to make my already exciting car even more so.

Thumbs up N-i-c-e!!

Sounds nice!!! That would be my colour choice too. There are some very tempting offers on new 2008 SAABs here in Australia also - especially the exchange program for existing owners(25% off new car).

Without going into too many details:

2.0t used to be the small turbo 175BHP

2.0T Bigger Turbo 210BHP

Check the back of the car is it a lower case t or an upper case T.

I think it's the T not the t.

Yeah, if it's in North America then it's the T for '06+ (or 2.8T if it says Aero on the back).

I would venture to say that '06 were ALL 2.0T i.e. 210BHP

That would normally be correct, except he has the "t" and not the "T". The difference in t and T is the 175hp and 210hp engines respectively. In 2006 with the edition of the V6 motor, the lower power 2.0 was dropped. Leaving only the 2.0T 4-cylinder and the 2.8T 6-cylinder.

So, he either has an '06 with the 210hp motor and a misplaced badge.....OR... that is not an '06 and he has the 175hp motor. However, perhaps the verts were different.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I am fairly certain that is correct.

I'm pretty sure your correct. Verts with the 2.0t (175) were really rare and I think only '04-'05.

ok, thanks.

i got it. i saw the manual and... page 308, you can see the vin's mean, the eight code can be....

S= 2.0t
N= 2.0t (convertible)
Y= 2.0 Turbo
M= 2.8 V6 engine (230)
U= V6 engine (250)

mine.... Y

now i have to change the 2.0t logo for 2.0T and then, the side of 93 and 2.0T logos... i'm gonna search for internet. i hope the logo 2.0T is not expensive...
and, is easy to quit the logos from the bumper?

Actually I think on the Verts the 93 and 2.0T badges are opposite the Sedans. I think yours are on the correct side. You just need to feed your t until it gets big and strong and is an adult T.

Congrats on the purchase! Looks like we got the same car!! Except mine didn't come with the cold weather package since cold weather isn't a big deal over on the west coast! Nevertheless, i'm sure its been really addictive to drive especially with it being a manual. I end up finding excuses just to get out on the road even if its just to the store to pick up useless things!
