a cd got stuck in my cd player, now im thinking of buying a new but used cd player from a wrecked saab 9-3. my question is if i get this new CD player and put it in my car, does it need programing, or i can just take it out from a wrecked car and put it in mine. i know that putting a used infotainment from another car need's programing, i have changed mine because of peeling buttons
thank you for your advice |

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure tech II prog. is required for a new cd player as it is part of the obus. so most likely it would have to be divorced from the donnor car and married to yours. do some searching on the threads and you should be able to find your answer but i'm almost positive.

thank you very much for your reply!
cars are great, just that they take all of your money for somethings that shouldn't even happen. all car manufactures should give a lifetime warranty on faults that are common. Quote:

i had the same problem with my cd player, it wouldn't eject it would play but not eject, ihad it fix the guy said it was a problem with a gear and he replaced it. i only wish my 2004 9-3 had a cd changer it only comes with a single cd player.
