Fed up with my saabs

I have a saab 1993 93 convertible turbo. Last week it cut out on a roundabout and wouldn't start I had just put petrol in the tank.I got it home and a friend who is a mech anic checked it out and couldn't figure out the problem, He said that the fuel pump was ok, as the fuel pumped worked when the engine turned over. I wondering if anyone could suggest what else i could check. thank you.

When a motor vehicle ceases to run, it is time to bring it to a real mechanic, not a friend.
And this is for the c900 section anyway.

I'm confuzzled. Is your car a 1993 model-year? If so, it would be a classic 900 or a 9000. If it's a saab 9-3, then it is younger, and you would need a different forum.
We needs us some clarifications!
