Hi everyone, I am a new member seeking help in resolving a horrible noise when car is : At rest, in neutral gear with engine running. The noise is only there when steering wheel turned in either direction.
Thanks Ken.T |

Welcome to Saab Central, Ken T.
Which year Saab is this ?? The model, a 1.8 ??? Vector ? To isolate the noise and do an inspection, open the hood/bonnet. Check the fluid levels and serpentine belt system. Have an assistant turn the steering wheel as you listen, using a stethoscope as necessary. Perhaps you just need a change of PSF(power steering fluid).

Hi Earthworm, Thanks for reply. The Saab is 2004 year and 1.8t vector saloon.
Oil level in steering pump is ok, but as stated noise when turning steering with engine running and car at rest is horrible. Will check out your suggestion tomorrow. Thanks KEN.T |

You're posting in the wrong forum, this is for the 1994 to 2002 NG900 / 9-3.
