Heard about this last night. Awful news and a great loss.
I finished reading Congo a couple of weeks ago. Great book. Read Andromeda Strain many times and just finished Prey. Got quite a few Crichton books in the 'case, plus a growing set of ER seasons on DVD Anyone who hasn't read Jurassic Park and The Lost World should do so straightaway! Shame he didn't get to see the last ER season ever. As well as a respected author of fiction, he'd written several works of non-fiction including several interesting papers. May you rest in peace Mr. Crichton.
